Dr Nandini Sathi graduated from McGill University Faculty of Medicine; she has been a family physician since 1993, and a lecturer in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto since 1995. She provided Prenatal and Obstetrical care at Women's College Hospital until 2005. She received her Diploma of Sports Medicine in 2009.
An experienced distance runner, she has completed 9 marathons, 10 Half marathons , short-distance trail races and a number of 30 km road races. She brings a wealth of experience and practical knowledge of endurance sports to her sports medicine practice. She has assisted in the Medical Tent at the Toronto Marthon and Scotiabank Marathon, as well as overseeing the medical support team at a UCI-sanctioned Cyclocross event. She has also worked on the medical team at a number of Skate Canada events. Her interests include the biomechanics of running, exercise in pregnancy and the special needs of the endurance athlete.
