What is Osteopathy and what does it treat?
Osteopathy is a holistic and gentle form of manual medicine with the goal of restoring optimal structure and function. The body is accessed as a whole unit taking into account the muscular, nervous, circulatory, pulmonary and digestive systems. The practitioner aims to identify the source of the problem and promote the body's inherent self-healing mechanism. Osteopathy effectively targets chronic pain, muscle imbalances and organ dysfunction. Common conditions such as headaches, anxiety, acid reflux, TMJ, infertility and insomnia are often addressed.
Manual Osteopathy is an effective treatment option on its own and can also be used as an adjunct to Physiotherapy, Massage and Chiropractic treatments.
