Dr. Christine Walton is an orthopaedic surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She has completed subspecialty fellowship training from the University of Toronto in upper extremity arthroscopy and arthroplasty (St. Joseph's health Centre / Toronto Western Hospital, 2011) Trauma (Sunnybrook Hospital, 2014) as well as hip and knee reconstruction (Toronto Western Hospital 2015). She is involved in both the surgical and non-surgical management of acute and chronic injuries with a special interest in regenerative orthopaedics.
Dr. Walton completed her undergraduate degree (BScH) in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. She was selected to the Sport Therapy Certificate program, where she earned her Canadian Athletic Therapist Certification (CATc) upon graduation. This background has provided her with a profound understanding of the rehabilitative side of sports medicine. She then went on to complete a Master's of Science degree at York University in exercise physiology, with her thesis examining the effects of caffeine on the human neuromuscular system. She completed both her undergraduate medical degree and orthopaedic residency training at McMaster University.
