Alaina is a graduate from Centennial College with an Advanced Diploma of Massage Therapy with honours, and prior to this, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier in 2018.
Alaina believes in combining remedial exercise, hydrotherapy and manual therapy to treat various injuries and conditions such as headaches, bronchitis, thoracic outlet syndrome, sprains & strains of various ligaments and muscles, etc. She views treatment as a partnership where both client and therapist work together to achieve the desired treatment goals.
Alaina grew up playing competitive soccer and has maintained a relationship with sports through her experience working on site with the Laurier Varsity Men's Rugby team and the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) through the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA). Working to assess and treat players for optimal performance on the field utilizing techniques such as athletic taping, rhythmic mobilization, passive stretching, trigger point therapy and PNF. Alaina is also certified in cupping therapy, using cups to increase vasodilation in the vasculature, creating negative space within structures to relieve tension and reduce adhesions.
