Biography
Dr. James Tremayne is a primary care Sports Medicine physician with proficiency in ultrasound-guided procedures. He completed a primary care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the leading University of Rochester Medical Center and attained his Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. During fellowship he became experienced in bedside ultrasound, ultrasound guided injections and percutaneous tenotomy.
Prior to fellowship, Dr. Tremayne completed his residency at the New Hampshire Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program and he attended medical school at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Dr. Tremayne has a passion for treating athletes, weekend warriors and active people. He is experienced in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related concussions. Dr. Tremayne has provided sideline medical coverage for numerous sporting events including the Rochester Nighthawks Lacrosse Team, St. John Fischer University NCAA football, lacrosse and wresting teams, the State University of New York-Genesseo NCAA hockey and lacrosse teams, Legacy Fight Alliance MMA fights, Ironman and triathlon events, and professional wrestling.
In his spare time, Dr. Tremayne enjoys the outdoors and is an avid rock climber, skier and runner. He enjoys competing in trail races.
