Michael graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Sutherland-Chan in 2014 as well as the Fitness & Health Promotion program at Humber College in 2011. After spending a few years as a personal trainer, Michael decided to refocus his efforts into physical rehabilitation and is now a registered massage therapist in good standing with the CMTO.
Blending his experience with both fitness and rehabilitation, his goal is to provide clients with a combined approach that is both proactive and long-term. Forever a student, Michael is constantly updating his skills and seeking new methods to provide the best care possible.
In addition to his two diplomas, Michael has also completed the following courses:
- Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1 & 2
- Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Level 1
- Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (KT1 & KT2)
When he isn’t happily fixing people at Athlete’s Care, Michael can be found on the mat competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in which he holds a blue belt. A huge martial arts fan/nerd, Michael both competes and referees in the sport, giving back to the grappling community he loves.
