Rachel Jeffers is a classically trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from Guelph University in 2016 with honors. During her time spent at Guelph she developed a passion for human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics as well as fitness. While completing her schooling, Rachel provided group coaching services, personal training as well as one on one support for individuals with special needs.
Her interest in the body?s ability to self heal and self regulate, given the proper environment keeps Rachel wanting to learn more and effectively apply the principles of osteopathy when treating each patient.
Rachel?s training incorporates the principles and application for various techniques, such as: myofascial release, strain/counter-strain, ligamentous articular release, osteoarticular adjustment as well as a long and short lever approach. She uses a diverse range of direct and indirect methods of treatment that are tailored to suit everyone. Rachel?s education equipped her with problem-solving skills required to treat a diverse range of musculoskeletal and physiological dysfunctions. Rachel currently teaches at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, working with students in their third year of their clinical rotation.
Aside from her work life and studies, Rachel co-owns F45 Glen Abbey in Oakville and has a love for fitness, the outdoors and nutrition.
