#movementismedicine is a hashtag you will be seeing a lot of in 2022 here at Athlete’s Care. Optimal fitness is a key element to any rehabilitation plan while a holistic and thoughtful self-care routine is a necessary pillar of wellness and longevity. It’s time to look at health-focused resolutions through a new lens and implement supervised movement as a necessary compliment to all our sports medicine treatments and services.
To celebrate this new vision for the well-being of our clients, we are thrilled to announce the start of Movement Therapy and Personal Training services beginning mid January, both in-person and on-line, 1:1 and in group sessions!
Heading up our new division is Lesley Stoyan, a certified fitness and lifestyle coach, culinary nutritionist, and everyday athlete. Lesley is trained in all modalities of fitness – from yoga and Pilates to aquatic therapy and spinning. Her specialities include injury rehabilitation, post-natal care, movement-based therapy for chronic illness and mental health, and most recently wellness support for post-COVID syndrome.
